At VaultTool, we prioritize the protection and privacy of your secure data. This Privacy Policy details how we handle the information processed through our client-side encryption application.
1. Client-Side Encryption Philosophy
VaultTool is a client-side first application. All encryption and decryption operations occur entirely within your local web browser. Your master passwords, PINs, database files, and uploaded payloads are processed locally and are never transmitted to our servers.
2. Data Collection and Usage
Because VaultTool runs fully client-side, we do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Here is how specific features handle data:
Decrypted Credentials & Records: Saved strictly inside your browser's local secure database (localStorage).
Files & Passwords: Encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 algorithm before storage.
Google Drive Sync: If you connect your Google Account for backups, files are transferred directly between your browser and your private Google Drive folder using Google OAuth authentication. We do not access or store your Google credentials or your backed-up files on our servers.
3. Third-Party Integrations
Our app integrates with third-party service providers under these terms:
Google OAuth and Drive API: Used solely to authenticate your identity and write/read backup packages directly to your personal Google Drive storage.
PayPal Subscriptions: Used to manage billing and premium subscriptions. Payment details are processed securely by PayPal and are subject to PayPal's privacy policy.
